Objective: To study the regulation of syndrome distribution of CU, establish the principal syndrome, and the important element to differentiate the principal syndrome, With the guidance of the theory of TCM,. And approach the method concerning the research of TCM syndrome.Method : Apply the cross-sectional study of clinical epidemiology, design the clinical questionnaire and fill in it, acquire the data. And utilize SPSS 13.0 to finish statistical analysis. Discuss the regulation of syndrome distribution of CU as well as the relevant factors. Establish the main ingredient to differentiate the principal syndrome.Results:①All 239 cases were collected include 95 male(39.7%)and 144 female(60.3%), the sex ratio is 1:1.51,it indicates the incidence rate of CU of female is larger than the male's, but it isn't difference in 36 cases of childhood. The age is range from 2 years old to 81 years old, mean age 32.16±15.15 year, the percentage of from19 years old to 39 years old is 56.5%. The course of disease is from 2 months to 30 years, the percentage of from2 months to 6 months is 45.6%.②239 cases are classify to 12 group by Frequencies. They are ying-wei disharmony syndrome, winddamp and heat conglutinatio in skin and dysfunction of the lung with defensive QI syndrome, winddamp and heat conglutinatio in skin syndrome, Wei system and Yang system asthenia and winddamp syndrome, pathogen wind retention due to deficiency of blood and Wei system and Yang system asthenia syndrome, pathogen wind retention due to deficiency of blood syndrome, qi-yin asthenia syndrome, qi-blood asthenia syndrome, heat retention in liver meridian syndrome, wind and heat invasion of skin syndrome, pathogen wind retention due to deficiency of Yin syndrome and the exterior attacked by wind and cold syndrome.③The results showed that gender, the color of wheal, somatotypes and Chills and fever law of wheal were main influencing factors related to the distribution and changes of syndromes, but the age, pathogenesis, integration of wheal, the time of wheal apperance and the place of wheal apperance was not significant in statistics.④The Hierarchical Cluster of tongue presentations and pulse presentations indicates that the most important pathogenesis of CU is deficiency zheng and dampness zheng. The deficiency zheng contains Qi asthenia, blood-deficiency and Yang deficiency. The most three typise of syndrome are winddamp and heat conglutinatio in skin syndrome, ying-wei disharmony syndrome and pathogen wind retention due to deficiency of blood syndrome.Conclusions:①The most three typise of syndrome are winddamp and heat conglutinatio in skin syndrome, ying-wei disharmony syndrome and pathogen wind retention due to deficiency of blood syndrome. The winddamp and heat conglutinatio in skin syndrome and pathogen wind retention due to deficiency of blood syndrome contain Qi asthenia and Yang deficiency two accompained symptoms and signs.②the most important aetiopathogenesis of CU incurable is the retention of deficiency and dampness pathogens, the most important therapeutic principles on treating CU are supplementing deficiency and dissolving dampness.
