Background and Objective: Background : The function of corpus callosum is not completely clear .Because the corpus callosum infarction is not commonly seen, the relevant data is limited at home and abroad, The clinical manifestation of the infarction is complicated due to varous funtion of corpus callosum, leading to the doctor's neglection.Besides ,CT is insentive to corpus callosum infarction. Objective: To investigate the clinical and radiological features as well as to improve our knowledge and diagnostic level of corpus callosum infartion .Results:1,8 patients with corpus callosum infarction were discovered in 362 patients with cerebral infarction, accounting for 22%. Truncus corporis callosi infarction were found in 5 patients, coexisting other infartion was detected in 3 patients.2,There are 3 patients with mental symptom ,3 patients with psychologicl abnormaliti es and 3 patients with apraxia in 8 patients with corpus callosuminfarction.3,Only one patient with corpus callosum infarction was discovered by CT , other 7 patients were diagnosed by MRI.Conclusions:1,The corpus callosum infarction is not commonly seen .It often coexisted with other infartion. 2,The clinical manifestation of corpus callosum infarction is complicated. Its prominent clinical characteristics are mental symptom and apraxia as well as psychologicl besides paralysis.3,The diagnosis of corpus callosum infarction is depended largely on symptoms , physical signs and MRI. MRI can increase the rate of diagnosis.
