PART 1 EFFECT OF LINDLEY EUPATORIUM HERB ON HEMORHEOLOGICAL PARAMETERS AND ANTI-OXIDATIVE ENZYME IN HYPERLIPEMIA RATSObjective:To study effect ofLindley eupatorium herb in experiment hyperlipemia rats.Methods:72 SD rats weighting(180±30)g were randomly divided into six groups.Four of these groups were fed high fat feed mixed with varying levels of Lindley eupatorium herb22.56g/Kg,11.28g/Kg, 5.64g/Kg or Simvastatin Tables 1.1mg/kg respectively;the other one group was fed only high fat as a hyperlipemia model;the last were fed on foundation feed as normal control(N).After 8 week,rats were killed and we detect the lever of blood fat and Hemorheological parameters,the activity of SOD,the MDA and NO content in the serum.Results,Compared with N group,the lever of blood fat and blood viscosity in HC group were significantly increased.Compared with M group,the activity of SOD and NO content in the serum of medication administration teams were significantly increased(P<0.01).Conclusion:The results suggest Lindley eupatorium herb can inhibit the occurrence and development of hyperlipemia in rats.These effects may be achieved by decreasing the lever of blood fat and the blood viscosity in the serum,elevating the activity of anti-oxidative enzyme and down regulating the expressions of NO in aorta.PART 2 THE EFFECT OF LINDLEY EUPATORIUM HERB ON INFLAMMATION REACTION IN ATHEROSCLEROSIS RABBITSObjective,To investigate the relationship between(AS) and inflammation and the effect of Lindley eupatorium herb(LEH) on As rabbits.To observe the effects of Lindley eupatorium herb(LEH) on vascular inflammation in rabbit model with atherosclerosis.Methods:36 rabbits were randomly divided into 6 groups,normal control group(treated with normal diet),model group(treated with high fat diet),positive control group and LEH groups treated with high fat diet mixed with Simvastatin Tables 0.6 mg/kg or varying levels of LEH 11.75 g/kg,5.85g/kg,2.85g/kg respectively.The levers of blood fat,C-reactive protein(CRP) and NO in the serum were detected at the 6th and the 10th week.The plaque area and thickness of aorta were measured with morphometry analysis when rabbits were killed after 10 weeks.The damaged segments of abdominal artery were harvested for and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) evaluated the mRNA expression of vascular cell adhesion molecule-1(VCAM-1).Results:As compared with normal group,the lever of blood fat and plague area in model groups were significantly increased;the levels of CRP in the serum and mRNA expression of VCAM-1 in the tissue of medication administration teams were significantly decreased,NO content were significantly increased.Conclusion:LEH could exert the function ofanti-atherosclerosis by decreasing the level of specific markers of inflammation.
