Correlation Between Children Asthma And Helicobacter Pylori Infection

Objects:To investigate the influence of Helicobacter pylori infection on children asthma and the pathogenesis by testing the seroprevalence of Helicobacter pylori and the levels of IFN-γ,IL-4 and CD⁴+CD25⁺T cells in asthma children and healthy children,and then to get better prevention and treatment for children asthma.Methods:0.5ml venous blood samples from asthma children and healthy children were placed in heparin tubes,and then tested by flow cytometry for the percentage of CD4⁺CD25⁺T cells.2.5ml venous blood samples from both groups naturally clotted,and then were centrifuged.Supernatant were collected and tested by ELISA for Hp-IgG antibody,Hp-IgG CagA antibody,levels of IL-4 and IFN-γ.Some asthma children had 14 carbon urea breath test.Results:â‘ The positive rates of Hp-IgG antibody,Hp-CagA IgG in asthma children(38%,20%) were lower than healthy group(64%,48%),the differences were statistical(P＜0.05).â‘¡Level of IFN-γin asthma children with positive serum Hp had no difference with that of healthy children,but higher level of IL-4,and less percentage of CD4⁺CD25⁺T cells;Asthma children with negative serum Hp had lower levels of IFN-γ,less percentage of CD4⁺CD25⁺T cells and higher levels of IL-4 than healthy children.â‘¢The positive rate of ¹⁴C-UBT of Asthma children in acute onset stage was higher than in remission stage(P＜0.05);The positive rate of ¹⁴ C-UBT in Refractory asthma children was higher than that of asthma children in remission stage and the normal asthma children(P＜0.05,P＜0.05). Conclusion:â‘ Hp infection in children,especially Hp strains with Protein CagA infection,may help protect children against asthma by influencing the balance of Th1 and Th2 cells,differentiation of T reg,and reducing gastro esophageal reflux in children.â‘¡Acute onset of asthma may be induced in asthma children because of more severe immunologic disorders caused by acute Hp infection.â‘¢Persistent Hp infection may became one of the causes of refractory asthma because it can lead to abnormal expression of Hot Shock Protein,and aggravate patients' resistant to hormone.
