| ObjectiveTo evaluate the roles of bcl-2 and bax genes in the pathogenesis of renal clear cell carcinoma(RCC).Materials and MethodsThe expression of apoptotic-related genes bcl-2 and bax protein in 27 cases of RCC (group C),27 cases of para-carcinoma(group B) and 12 cases of normal renal(group A) tissues was detected by using immunohistochemistry SP method.ResultsAccording to TNM tumor grade,in group C,13 were in T1NOM0(7G1 and 6G2),8 was in T2NOM0(4G2 and 4G3 ) and 6 in T3NOM0(3G3 and 3G4).Among mean 100 cells in 1 to 3 high power fields, the number of the cells positive for the expression of bcl-2 was 40.52±18.68 in renal clear cell carcinoma, significantly higher than that in the control group A or B(15.74±7.94,12.08±5.96,P=0.000).The number of the cells positive for the expression of bax was 24.60±17.38;while in the control group A or B, the number was 50.20±17.81 or 23.86+16.32(P=0.000).ConclusionsAbnormal expression and regulation of apoptosis-regulatory genes play important roles in the development and progression of renal clear cell carcinoma,in which bcl-2 gene may take a larger part during the pathologic process and bax gene expression is restained in this meshwork. |
