Objective:To compare and analyze the effect between hip arthroplasty and cannulated lap screw internal fixation for the treatment of elderly patients with femoral neck fractures. Methods: To collect 150 cases elderly patients with femoral neck fractures. Divided into hip arthroplasty group and cannulated lag screw internal fixation group, according to the classification of modified Garden. with the mean age of 73.6 years(ranged from 60 to 89 years).all patients were treated by hip arthroplasty(n=80 cases),and by cannulated lag screw internal fixation(n=70 cases).ResuIts: There were statistically different in Operation time, losing blood in operation, the days in hospitallization, the cost in hospitalization, postoperative time of confined bed between the two groups,These differences due to surgery programs;however,a highly significant difference(P< 0.05) in the incidence of postoperative complications, the good rate of joint function, re-operation rate after surgery, the abnormal rate of X-ray track between the two groups. Conclusions:It was confirmed that the effect of the hip arthroplasty for elderly patients with femoral neck fractures ,Hip arthroplasty in patients shortened recovery time and bed time,Decreased complications arising from long-term bed rest. In particular applied to the elderly patientsfemoral neck fractures(â…¢andâ…£according to the classification of modified Garden)...
