Research On The Relationship Between BAFF And Gastric Carcinoma

PurposeTo determine the expression of BAFF on the peripheral CD19+B cells in sera of patients with gastric carcinoma before and after surgery. And further investigate the difference between groups with different pathologic stages, invasion depths and genders. In order to reveal the roll of BAFF in the process of initiation,evolation and metastasis of gastric tumor.Methods1.Use flow cytometer to analyze the serum samples.2.Use CELLQuest software? (FACSCalibur, Becton Dickinson, CA) to harvest and analyze the CD19+B cells and detect the expression of BAFF.3.Employ ANOVA to the analysis of experiment data and analyze them with SAS9.0 statistical software.Compare and analyze the expression of BAFF on CD19+B cells in peripheral blood of patients with gastric carcinoma and negative control group.Compare and analyze the expression of BAFF on CD19+B cells in peripheral blood of patients with gastric carcinoma before and after surgery.Compare and analyze the relativity of expression of BAFF on CD19+B cells in peripheral blood of patients and clinical indexes: gastric tumor size, differentiation, patients'gender, lymphatic metastasis etc.. Results1.Comparison of BAFF expression rate on CD19+B cells between patients with gastric carcinoma and negative control group in peripheral blood indicates that P<0.01, which means the statistical meaning exists, the BAFF expression rate on CD19+B cells in peripheral blood of gastric carcinoma group is clearly lower than in negative control group.2.Comparison of BAFF expression rate on CD19+B cells between patients with gastric carcinoma before and after surgery indicates that P<0.01, which means the statistical meaning exists, the BAFF expression rate on CD19+B cells in peripheral blood of gastric carcinoma pre-surgery group is clearly lower than in post-surgery group with P<0.01.3.Comparison of BAFF expression rate on CD19+B cells between patients with gastric carcinoma in different pathological stages indicated the BAFF expression rate is higher in lower differentiation group with P<0.01, the statistical meaning exists.4.Comparison of BAFF expression rate on CD19+B cells between patients with gastric carcinoma in groups with and without lymphatic metastasis; different immersion levels; different genders and different tumor sizes show no differences, with P>0.05.ConclusionsThere's no connect relation between the currency of gastric carcinoma and the expression of BAFF; there's no connect relation between gastric carcinoma clinical index and BAFF. The change of BAFF can alter the humour immune response, which can lead to autoimmune diseases and carcinoma. Suggesting that change BAFF by changing specific antibody or related receptor may be a new treatment method of some diseases.
