Effect Of Simvastatin And Xuezhikang On The Thoracic Aorta Of Diabetic Rats And Expression Of Connexin43

Objective: To demonstrate that simvastain and Xuezhikang can influence the thoracic aorta formation and stability by decreasing or increasing the expression of gap junction protein 43(Cx43). Methods: The role of Cx43 in thoracic aorta was examined by western blot, Immunohistochemistry , electron microscope.The mice model of diabetes mellitus was established by streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetes. The expression of connexin 43 was determined by immunohistochemistry and the expression of connexin 43 in smooth muscle cells and endotheliocyte were determined with western blot. The quantity of connexin43 exoression was analyzed with computer images. Results: We observed that "stains" reduces Cx43 expression .Conclusion These data indicate the critical role of connexin43-mediated gap junctional communication in formation.
