Objective By two groups of abdominal aortic aneurysm patients before general surgery-related conditions, perioperative situation, hospital charges and complications compared to the situation, to find appropriate treatment for abdominal aortic aneurysm, and analysis of abdominal aortic aneurysm efficacy of traditional open surgery and endovascular repair. Methods Selected in June 2005~March 2009, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University, Hepatobiliary Vascular Surgery 62 patients were treated under the type AAA renal artery traditional open surgery or endovascular repair of abdominal surgery inpatients, or preoperative application of CTA or MRA, a clear diagnosis of abdominal aortic aneurysm type, a reasonable choice for the surgical methods, and abdominal aortic aneurysm endovascular repair group and traditional surgery group in the general preoperative, operative and perioperative relevant, analyzed and compared the situation to evaluate its efficacy. Results In the age of the patients, tumor diameter and the primary diseases, such as coronary heart disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hypertension, diabetes, cerebrovascular disease, venous thrombosis of lower extremity of the general situation in the preoperatively was no significant difference (P> 0.05). Underlying diseases combined sum of endovascular group of 36 patients (accounting for 124.1%), traditional surgery group of 28 patients (accounting for 84.8%), endovascular group than in the traditional surgery group more than the percentage of the total complications.Abdominal aortic aneurysm endovascular treatment group and traditional surgery group in the operation time, blood loss, blood transfusion, postoperative blood transfusion, postoperative fasting time, ICU observation time, postoperative hospital stay, operation costs and pulmonary complications, postoperative complications of water electrolyte imbalance, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Complications in heart and kidney complications, digestive complications, lower limb ischemia, wound complications, with or without internal leakage, lower extremity arterial embolization and MODS complications, no significant difference (P>0.05), the traditional surgery group 45 cases (accounting for 136.4%) complications occurred recently, endovascular treatment group,18 cases (accounting for 62.1%) complications occurred recently. Traditional surgery group compare with endovascular treatment group recent system complications more than a percentage. Two long-term morbidity and mortality compared with no significant difference (P>0.05).Conclusions For abdominal aortic aneurysm surgical treatment, endovascular repair than traditional open surgery with less trauma and faster recovery, shorter hospital stay and so on. However, the traditional surgical results and stability, cost less to spend. Both long-term effect is similar. For more complicated with underlying diseases in patients with abdominal aortic aneurysm, endovascular repair should be preferred.
