Objective:to evaluate the clinic value and the curative effects of the inversely nasolacrimal intubation. Methods:From February,2008 to March,2010,87 cases (101 eyes) with nasolacrimal duct obstruction or stenosis.79 cases (92 eyes) accepted the ball-shaped silicone nasolacrimal intubation (BS-SNI),8 cases (9 eyes) accepted the artificial nasolacrimal ductus stent. Discuss their clinical effect. Results:The cure rate of the group of BS-SNI was 86.81%(79 eyes follow-up 3-27 months). The cure rate of the group of the artificial nasolacrimal ductus stent was 88.89%(8 eyes follow-up 1-3 months). The difference of two cure rates was non-significant (χ2=0.389 P=0.533>0.05).Conclusions:The results suggests that the inversely nasolacrimal intubation is a simple, convenient and effective surgery which is suitable to popularize for treating the nasolacrimal duct obstruction.
