IUD is an efficient, safe, inexpensive, reversible and Long-term application of contraceptive methods,is the most widely used contraceptive methods in our country.However, none of them does not exist with pregnancy, loss, side effects and other issues.IUD placement outcome is subject to material,shape,put the conditions of individual devices and other comprehen- sive medical technology,it is the result of a combination of factors common.Therefore, to develop safe, efficient, no side effects, new durable IUD, is the focus of current research.In recent years,Researchers developed the IUD of indomethacinsus- tained- release system, with a polymer material medical silicone rubber as a carrier .It reduces the initial bleeding and pain device placed side effects.Advent of more and more new material,added the optional reinforcing material IUD.Currently used for clinical nickel titanium based shape memory alloys,these materials have been widely used in aviation, medical, machinery and other fields.It addition to outside temperature memory effect,also has excellent biocompatibility, super elasticity, corrosion resistance and resistance to fatigue.Present a common clinical SAM IUD is MCu IUD.Many IUD with different shapes, different active ingredient have been put into clinical,Therefore, in the clinical efficacy and side effects also have their own advantages and disadvantages.Objective:In order to reduce the home side after the device, the researchers try to use new material for the production of IUDMethods:Select in this article VCuY380,VCu380 and MCu IUD are all made in SMA materials,they have temperature memory effect.When the temperature is less than 15℃, it can arbitrarily change its shape,to 35℃, restore the original shape.VCuY380,VCu380 have Open V-shaped design,conform to the shape of the uterus,difficult to move down or off.IUD's arms with brass sleeve top and outward bending cylindrical ring increase in copper surface area reach 380mm2.In the arm and bottom sides of a half annulus of VCuY380,there are indomethacin with silicone rubber implants,about 22 mg.Mcu IUD was similar to the "V"-shaped opening of the bow,bow arm by pressing solid copper ball ,surface area is about 110 mm2.Based on the September 2008 to December 2009 in our hospital and received treatment in Changchun Traditional Chinese Medical University School of Medicine, 338 patients were on clinical trials of three types of IUD. Randomized into groups according to serial, parallel comparison. Mcu IUD is the control group, a total of 110cases.VCuY380 is the experimental group, 113 cases.VCu380 is the experimental group, 115 cases.Case group and control group participants ranged in age, menarche age, menstrual period, uterine cavity depth of the cycle and there was no significant difference. Comparison among the three groups in contraceptive efficiency, continued survival rate, expulsion rate, removal rate due to disease, pregnancy rate and side effects with devices the differences. For measurement data, using Wilcoxon rank sum test, etc.Results:Three types of IUD contraception have a higher survival rate and renewal rate, continued survival rates were 99.1%, 97.4%, 98.2%.Off not occurred during the investigation period, with a device of pregnancy, ectopic,the reason may be related to IUD material, the shape design .Because the observed short time, long-term contraceptive effectiveness and complications could not be observed.Devices in the home after the first month VCuY380 in excessive pain and discomfort, menstrual abnormalities and non-menstrual bleeding and other side effects were much less than in other groups. Consider mainly reason is indomethacin of VCuY380 improve the balance of PGs. Mcu IUD and VCu380, the same two materials, the shape is similar to copper surface area are different, but similar incidence of side effects,consider the location and shape of the adhesion of copper due to differences.Conclusion:Three types of IUD contraception have a higher survival rate and renewal rate of loss, with devices ectopic are low. VCuY380 side-effects were less than the other two groups. Increased copper area can not improve their contraceptive effectiveness.
