Objective:To discuss the efficacy and safety of lung cancer patients treated with cool-tip radiofrequency ablation(RFA). Methods:46 patients with 48 primary or metastatic lung cancers (24 lesions≤3cm,24 lesions>3cm) were treated with RFA under percutaneous CT-guided,B ultrasound-guided or through operations. Observed in patients with or without complication and short-term efficacy of the imaging evaluation. Results:48 lung lesions after RFA treatment,30 lesions were complete ablation (CA), 18 lesions were non-complete ablation (NCA),the rate of CA was 62.5%. The rate of CA of small lesions (≤3cm)was 79.2%(19/24),of large lesions(>3cm)was 45.8%(11/24); The rate of CA that treated before or after 2008 was 47.8% and 76.0%.(p<0.05)Difference between the two groups were statistically significant. The comparison of patients age, sex, pathological type between the CA group and NCA group has no significant difference. All the patients have successfully treated without serious complications. Conclusion:Cool-tip radiofrequency ablation in the treatment of lung cancer is safe and without serious complications, especially for the small lesions(≤3cm). the efficacy increases year by year. The recent effect is exact.
