PrefaceLying in people's lives, a common phenomenon. People often mislead others to gain advantage or protect themselves or others. Although there are several different types of lying, but we only restrict the definition of him as follows:Another purpose of misleading. In addition, some medical conditions, the lie has some notable features, including:antisocial personality disorder, malingering, that the disease, addiction and so on. Lying areas of the brain a better understanding of the brain help to understand the neural basis of mental disorders. As the prevalence of lying, and now there are many legal, political and industrial backgrounds, from their accurate detection, we can benefit from. Since ancient times, people try to accurately detect lying. Mental physiological function detection devices makes the development of the review of the late 19th century can research and lying about peripheral physiological changes. This has led a more sophisticated peripheral measurement techniques and data analysis of the development, including polygraph. Modern polygraph record is the skin conductivity, blood pressure changes, respiration and peripheral vasomotor activity. There are a number of other techniques have been applied to the polygraph, but also they are an external measurement of direct measurement of brain activity that we need a better way. This study was conducted on 15 subjects Brain SPECT scan, and then study the lying and telling the truth in a state of brain changes in different functional areas to analyze and evaluate their significance in forensic medicine.Experimental MethodsExperimental steps1.The first day, subjects were lying in the scanner bed, the establishment of intravenous access, resting five minutes after the injection, SPECT scans at the same time.2.The next day, subjects lie flat on the scanning bed, the establishment of intravenous access, rest 5 minutes, the participants display a positive understanding of human head and face without a hat, display 2 seconds, picture disappears when answering (if know the person). Display image when the injection, SPECT scanning at the same time. After completion of the experiment subjects were asked to answer the following questions:Who to see pictures of pictures (to verify whether subjects with the experiment)?Image AcquisitionInjection, at the same time SPECT scan (blood collection) and the polygraph records.30 min Across SPECT imaging. Acquisition matrix:128×128, Neng-feng: 140keV, window width:±20%. Acquisition mode:ZOOM:1.45, probe the spin 1800,5.6/frame, each frame grabber 25s, were collected from 64 images, acquisition time of about 30min.ResultsApplication of t test to compare the three sets of data obtained with the honest answer to a question lying, the brain functional activity in the left wedge anterior lobe, right superior frontal gyrus, right middle frontal gyrus, right inferior frontal gyrus, right dorsal lateral frontal cortex, the right wedge of anterior lobe and the cingulate gyrus of the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion1.By detecting the subjects in this experiment is a picture of the person to answer the process of identifying and neural responses in brain activity, to determine the functional areas of brain involved in lying. Lying process, not a single region of neural activity, but the more common regional neural activity involved. When the subjects were lying, its more involved in the frontal and parietal brain areas, neural activity in these regions participated in numerous cognitive processes, including:inhibition of the real process, the storage memory, visual memory and heart elephant identified.2.Lying, the brain activity in the left precuneus, right superior frontal gyrus, right middle frontal gyrus, right inferior frontal gyrus, right dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, right precuneus and cingulate gyrus was significantly increased.
