PurposeTo compare the change of contrast sensitivity in high myopia eye received ICL implantation.MethodsContrast sensitivity was evaluated in fifty-two eyes of 27 high myopia patients undergoing ICL implantation. We tested the contrast sensitivity preoperation and 1 week after operation with best spectacle correction visual. The test included 4 modes day and night with and without glare and 5 space frequents form 1.5 c/deg to 18 c/deg.ResultsThe mean value of visual after ICL implantationg wad 1.00(0.4 - 1.2). The postoperative contrast sensitivity values were found significantly statistical higher (p<0.05) than those of the preoperative eyes.ConclusionICL implantation improves the contrast sensitivity and visual function of the high myopia eyes.
