Objective Quantitative evaluation of type 2 diabetic in patients by newly E-tracking technique.Methods The study subjects were divided into four groups, type 2 DM patients IMT≤1mm(group A);1.5mm>IMT>1mm(group B);carotid artery atherosclerosis group(group C) and normal control group(group D). Assess arteriosclerosis parameters by newly E-Tracking technique, then analyse these parameters of type 2 DM patients.Results1. No significant difference among the three groups with age,weight and gender.(P>0.05);2. The difference of Type 2 DM patients between left carotid artery elasticity and right carotid artery elasticity was not statistical significant in carotid artery intima-media normal group,carotid artery intima-media thickening group and unilateral carotid artery atherosclerosis group(p>0.05);3. The difference of Type 2 DM patients'carotid artery elasticity was not statistical significant in carotid artery intima-media normal group,carotid artery intima-media thickening group and unilateral carotid artery atherosclerosis group(p>0.05);4. In Type 2 DM patients with normal carotid artery intima-media thickness,carotid artery intima-media thickening and carotid artery atherosclerosis group,β, EÏ, PWVβsignificantly higher than the normal group(P<0.05), AC lower than the normal group(P<0.05), AI, Ds, Dd of each group showed no significant difference (P> 0.05).Conclusion1. Carotid artery in type 2 DM patients, theβ, EÏ, PWVβsignificantly higher than the normal group, AC lower than the normal group, arterial elasticity worse than normal.2.Before type 2 DM patients occur in the arterial wall morphological changes(IMT≤1.Omm), the endothelial function of blood vessels have changed,it means elasticity function of arterial have changed.3.Vascular E-Tracking technique can make the judgement for type 2 DM patients before carotid artery elasticaity function changes.so can achieve the purposes of early prevention,early diagnosis and early treatment.
