Objective:To explore the effect of VEGF antisense nucleotide on PC-3 cell.Methods:PC-3 cells were transfected VEGF ASODN and ODN mediated by oligofectamine. The transfected PC-3 cells of each groups were assessed the proliferation activity by MTT, and apoptosis by flow cytometry. Results:The transfected PC-3 cells growth and proliferation activity tested by MTT in groups of ODN+oligofectamine had not any difference as compared with control group(P>0.05), but as for the cells in groups of ASODN+oligofectamine, the growth and proliferation activity were significantly inhibited(P<0.05). The results of flow cytometry revealed ASODN+oligofectamine could accelerate transfected PC-3 cells apoptosis(P<0.05).Conclusion:VEGF ASODN could inhibit PC-3 cells growth, proliferation and accelerate apoptosis. The oligofectamine could strengthen the effect of ASODN.
