ObjectivesThrough the saliva of oral squamous cell carcinoma of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and interleukin-8 (IL-8) the determination and analysis of saliva in the CEA, IL-6 and IL-8 levels in oral squamous cell carcinoma of significance.MethodsSelect the 35 cases of oral squamous cell carcinoma patients with T1 or T2 for the case group, 35 cases of normal healthy for the control group. None of these selected objects had the systemic disease, a history of maxillofacial surgery and radiotherapy and chemotherapy, moderate or severe periodontitis and significant oral mucosal disease.Oral squamous cell carcinoma group of saliva samples during surgery and radiotherapy and chemotherapy before the collection, squamous cell carcinoma group and normal group of saliva samples collected at 6:00 ~ 8:00 in the morning, Collection of non-irritating as the saliva samples, for a total sample of 5 mL .Unstimulated whole saliva was collected and after processing the samples were analyzed by Enzyme Linked Immune Assay(ELISA). ResultsSquamous cell carcinoma group and control group by sex, age difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05).Saliva of 35 patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma of the CEA, IL-6, IL-8 concentration values mean±standard deviation were 76.80±27.44μg /L, 73.11±31.41ng / L, 953.84±371.40ng / L.While the control group, 35 cases of saliva in the CEA, IL-6, IL-8 concentration values mean±standard deviation of 24.18±22.00μg /L,0.61±0.93ng/L,214.47±180.74ng/L.The concentration of salivary CEA,IL-6 and IL-8 in oral squamous cell carcinoma patients was higher than control group and it was statistically significant(P<0.001).ConclusionsSaliva of oral squamous cell carcinoma in CEA, IL-6, IL-8 levels than the normal control group, increased significantly in the diagnosis of oral squamous cell carcinoma has a certain clinical application.Saliva sampling is simple and convenient and safe with a non-invasive, and can repeatedly capture the advantages of extraction is more suitable for large-scale survey used to promote screening, saliva can be used as study of tumor markers in oral squamous cell carcinoma of the fine media.Saliva detection of tumor markers can be used as a diagnostic adjunct to oral squamous cell carcinoma.
