OBJECTIVE:To evaluate and summarize the clinical application and complications of living donor liver transplantation (LDLT).METHODS:A retrospective analysis was made in altogether 11 LDLT operations of living related liver transplantation performed in our department.The indication and complications of LRLT in our series were reviewed.RESULTS:All the 11 donors are uneventfully after operation without series complications,1 doner developed hyperglycemia and jaundice, later recovers after treatment; 2 receptor was dead.1 died of MOF,and the other died of renal failure.9 receptors achieve long-term survival.No rejection was detected in all survivals.The recipients with Wilson's disease, whose liver function and cuprum oxidase level had returned to normal.In this 7 cases,3 of them of nervous system type have made remarkable progress in the neural syndrome.The primary complications after operation including blood vessel, lung and the infection of microbe or virus, were mainly involved in our series.CONCLUSIONS:LDLT has capacious clinical application.But the process of operation was complicated; the operation technology was exigent and difficult.The surgical indications should be stringently grasped.The perioperative period is very important.
