ObjectiveTo measure the level of D Dimer (DD) in different phrases of patients with acute leukemia, and to explore the significance in the development, curative effect and prognosis of leukemia..MethodsThirty-eight acute leukemia(AL) patients and twenty normal people were seleceted into the study, the level of DD were measured by immunoturbidimetry. Some of patients were measured by different phrases.ResultsCompared with normal control group, plasma level of DD was elevated before treatment in acute leukemia patients (t=3.98, P<0.01). After complete remission(CR), plasma level of DD returned to normal range with normal control group in AL Patients (t=0.72, P>0.05),the level of DD was elevated again during replase, comparing with normal control group and CR group (t=5.15, P<0.01, t=5.20, P<0.01),but no difference was seen between replase and before treatment. Compared with other AL patients, plasma level of DD increased in APL patients before treatment (t=8.09, P<0.01).After treatment, no difference was seen between APL group and other AL group (t=1.22, P>0.05)ConclusionThe plasma level of DD increased in AL patients during replase and before treatment, and it decreased after CR. It showed activation of coagulation and fibrinolysis in AL patients, and was improved with amelioration of the disease. The level of DD was higher in APL patients, which showed there were relationship between disorder of coagulation and fibrinolysis with DD. The plasma level of DD can be used as one of the indicators of the development, curative effect and prognosis of leukemia.
