Xiaoyao Pill can increase the sleep rate, reduce the sleep latency and extend the sleep duration time of threshold dose of pentobarbital sodium in mice; Therefore, Xiaoyao Pill has a obvious hypnotic effect;2. Xiaoyao Pill can increase the sleep rate, reduce the sleep latency and extend the sleep duration time of sleep deprivation mice. Therefore, Xiaoyao Pill has a hypnotic effects;3. Xiaoyao Pill can shorten the tail suspension and forced swimming mice'immobility time, and has a significant antidepressant effect;4. Xiaoyao Pill can reduce the animals'locomotor activity, has some sedative effect;5. Xiaoyao Pill can increase the elevated plus-maze mice'total power capacity, improve its OE%,OT% value, reduce the value of rearing and head-dipping; Therefore Xiaoyao Pill has a antianxiety effect.Conclusion:Xiaoyao Pill can increase the animals'sleep rate, shortened the sleep latency, prolong the duration time of sleep;And it also can be effective against the fixed state ot depression animal; Meanwhile, Xiaoyao Pill can reduce the animal's locomotor activity, improve the overall activities of anxiety animal and reduce the anxiety index of anxiety animal.
