ObjectivesTo better assess pathogenetic condition and guiding treatment base on not only analysing the occurred condition of depression, anxiety and somatic symptoms but also discuss the correlation in psychosomatic symptoms through questionnaire survey the patients with menopause syndrome of kidney deficiency and hepatic stagnation.MethodsWe used improved Kupermann scale, Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) and Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) to estimate the total 151 patients with menopause syndrome of kidney deficiency and hepatic stagnation who visited the Guangdong Province Hospital of TCM. The data were analyzed by SPSS13.0 sofware, applide spearman rank correlation belongs to two-sample comparisons.ResultThe analysis of data discover that the KI aggregate score is 30.36±8.498, include mild(29.1%), moderate(37.1%), severe (33.8%). The SDS standard score is 55.39±11.87, include symptomless(28.5%), mild(38.4%), moderate(20.5%), severe (12.6%). The SAS standard score is 55.19±9.88, include symptomless(26.5%), mild(39.7%), moderate(25.8%), severe(7.9%).The occurred frequency of symptoms in the patient with menopause syndrome displays as follow:insomnia(94.7%), excitable(91.4%), lassitude(9.4%), hot fishes/sweating (90.7%), depressed(86.1%), cacesthesia(84.1%), bone joint/ muscle pain(80.8%), cardiopalmus(80.1%), headache(73.5%), dizziness (68.2%), urinary symptom (60.9%), dyspareunia (55.6%), formication(41.1%).It shows that there are 130 patients (possess 86.1%) with psychological symptoms in the 151 surveyed patients with menopause syndrome of kidney deficiency and hepatic stagnation. Then there are 108 patients (possess 71.5% of the total) with simple depression,111 patients (possess 73.5%) with anxiety, and 89 patients (58.9%) with depression concurrent anxiety. The spearman correlation coefficient is 0.448(P<0.001) between KI total score and SDS standard score,0.334(P<0.001) about the KI classification and the depression degree,0.629 (P<0.001) between the KI total and SAS standard score,0.551 (P<0.001) between the KI classification and anxiety degree, and 0.578(P<0.001) between the depression and anxiety classification. The spearman correlation coefficient of depression and somatic symptoms as follows:r (hot flashes and sweating)=-0.039(P=0.632), r (paresthesia) =0.300 (P<0.001)), r (dizziness)=0.219 (P=0.007), r (lassitude) =0.266 (P=0.001), r (bone and joint/muscle pain)=0.007 (P=0.934), r (headache) =-0.019(P=0.816), r (cadiopalmus)=0.338 (P<0.001), r (fomication) =0.132(P=0.105), r (dyspareunia)=0.025 (P=0.760), r (urinary symptom) =0.270(P=0.001)。The spearman correlation coefficient of anxiety and somatic symptoms as follows:r'(hot flashes/sweating)=0.137(P=0.094), r'(paresthesia)=0.405(P <0.001), r'(dizziness)=0.371 (P<0.001), r'(lassitude)=0.398(P<0.001), r'(bone and joint/muscle pain)=0.170(P=0.037), r'(headache)=0.170 (P=0.037), r'(cardiopalmus)=0.418(P<0.001), r'(formication)=0.189 (P=0.020), r' (dyspareunia)=0.0830(P=0.308), r'(urinary symptoms)=0.311 (P<0.001)。ConclusionThe depressed and anxiety symptom present the conspicuous linearity positive correlation with menopause syndrome of kidney deficiency and hepatic stagnation. It was slight linearity direct correlation between depression with paresthesia, dizziness, lassitude, cardiopalmus and urinary symptoms, and was no correlation between depression with hot flashes/sweating, bone and joint/muscle pain, headache, formication, dyspareunia. Anxiety present the conspicuous linearity direct correlation with paresthesia and cardiopalmus, and have the slight linearity direct correlation with dizziness, lassitude, bone and joint/muscle pain, headache, formication and urinary symptoms. There is no effect on the depression or anxiety if hot flashes/sweating and dyspareunia occurs or not.
