[Objective] To evaluate the clinical value of the transurethral resection of the prostate combined with castration endocrine therapy for bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) in patients with advanced prostate cancer.[Methods] Data of 1 patients with advanced prostate cancer who underwent the transurethral resection of the prostate and bilateral orchidectomy and endocrine therapy in the second hospital of LanZhou university, were retrospectively analyzed.[Results] The operation time was 50 minutes, the weight of resected tissues 32 g, and the blood loss 60 mL. He live up to now[Conclusion] Transurethral resection of t he prostate combined with castration is safe and effective for bladder outlet obstruction in patients with advanced prostate cancer.
