Objective:In this report,we analyse 215 cases of MM patients of our hospital. In a comparative study program of VAD,MP,BD program respectiv-ely,we examine the chararistic of MM based on laboratory index, and evalueate the efficacy of the 3 programs. Methods:From 1980 to 2010,respectively, clinical data of 215 patients suffering from MM was compared.Their laboratory values such asHemog-lobin(HB), Albumin(ALB), Immunoglobulin(IgG), the proportion of plasma cells,Calcium(Ca),β2-MG and Creatinine was studied to evaluate the efficiency of 3 different treatment programs. observed, and evaluation of efficiency of different programs.Count datas were analyzed by chi-squaretest, measurement data selected according to the information chara-cteristics of test or rank sum test for statistical analysis, P<0.05 indicated significant difference.Results:1. clinical characteristic(1) The median age of MM onset is usually 61 years old.The number of Men who affected MM was 122,and women was 93. the ratio of sex incidence was 1.31:1.(2)The number of patients who was IgG type was 96(44.7%), IgA type was 51(23.7%), Light chain type was 34(15.8%), not secreted type was 23(10.7%), no clear type was 10(4.7%),and IgM type was 1(0.4%)。(3)The number of patients who stayed at PhaseⅢwas 194(90.2%), phaseⅡwas 19(8.8%), and phaseⅠwas 2(1%)o The number of patients who was devided to A group by kidney function was 143 (66.5%), and Bgroup was 72 (33.5%)。2.The laboratory findings before and after chemotherapy were compared (1)VAD program:there was significant change in Albumin Immunoglo-bulin,the proportion of plasma cells,calcium,andβ2-MG after chemotherapy (P<0.05). But there was no difference in Hemoglobin, Creatinine,CRP and LDH levels after chemotherapy(P>0.05).(2)MP program:there was significant decrease in the proportion of plasma cells after chemotherapy (P<0.05). But tere was no difference in other laboratory value after chemotherapy (P>0.05).(3)PD program:there was significant change in Hemoglobin, Albumin, Immunoglobulin, the proportion of plasma cells, calcium,β2-MG, Crea-tinine and CRP levels after chemotherapy (P<0.05). But there was no diffe-rence about LDH after chemotherapy (P>0.05).2.Compare the three programs efficience(1)The effects of VAD, MP and PD program were77.8%,78.3%and 87.5%,respectively(P>0.05).This means that there was no statistically signi-ficant difference in among the 3 treatment programs.(2)That is the total effective rate of three programs have no difference. VAD program, MP program and PD program complete remission rates were 8.9%,8.7%and 37.5%,respectively(P<0.05). Three different programs for complete remission rate was statistically significant. Pairwise comparison, VAD program and MP program has no significant difference (P>0.017). PD program and VAD program has difference(P<0.017).PD programs and MP programs has difference(P<0.017).Conclusion:1. The median age of MM onset is usually 61 years old, and the ratio of sex incidence was 1.31:1. IgG type was the most common in clinical.2.All the three chemotherapy can help to promote Hemoglobin, Albumin, and can also decrease Immunoglobulin, the proportion of plasma cells, calcium,β2-MG, Creatinine and CRP.3.PD program was better than VAD and MP program in complete remission rates. It was also considered the best choice for renal insufficiency patients.
