Objective:To investigate the iodine nutrition level of women of childbearing age, and analysis on the main daily food factors, and provide reliable information and scientific evidence for the prevention and control of iodine deficiency in Dalian.Method:The samples in this study are 180 child-bearing women from routine monitoring area, who are chosen in a random way.6 towns are chosen from Pulandian and Zhuanghe city, and 6 households are chosen from 5 different places in each town. The study is performed on 180 child-bearing women from each household by a method of investigation paper, urine sample and iodine added salt are gathered from each household. The statistical analysis of data is performed by SPSS 11.5, Mann-Whitney U non-parametric tests is performed on different age, educational background, salt intake and different urinary iodine level between areas. The different level of iodine added salt intake between people is analyzed by ANOVA, which is performed for people who have different urinary iodine level. The relationship between conventional diet and urinary iodine level is analyzed by rank correlation analysis. Urinary iodine is used as a dependent variable in multiple linear regression used to other factors.Results:1. For people in Dalian area, the median of urinary iodine level is 226.00μg/L.2. The ratio of urinary iodine level< 20μg/L is 0.6%; The ratio of urinary iodine level between 20μg/L and 50μg/L is 2.8%; The ratio of urinary iodine level between 50μg/L and 100μg/L is 8.3%; The ratio of urinary iodine level between 100μg/L and 200μg/L is 28.2%; The ratio of urinary iodine level between 200μg/L and 300μg/L is 34.8%; The ratio of urinary iodine level≥300μg/L is 24.9%.3. The usage ratio of iodine added salt is 100%.4. The intake of iodine added salt for each person is 13.04g/day.Conclusion:1. The survey of urinary iodine level to Dalian area's child-bearing women suggest that these women having sufficient iodine nutrition intake, no iodine deficiency. But this urinary iodine level is within the level of over intake iodine level of WHO standard.2. There's no correlation between age.3. This result indicate the urinary iodine level of these people mainly influenced by diet frequency of sea animal food, sea vegetables. Iodine added salt, as well as flour products intake have some effect on people's urinary iodine level, but potatoes intake have a negative correlation between urinary iodine level.
