Objective:To discuss the prevention of HBV recurrence on patients with HBV-related end-stage liver disease after orthotopic liver transplantation with different therapeutics.Methods:80 cases with HBV-related end-stage liver disease of liver transplan- tation were analyzed retrospectively from January 2002 to March 2009. All patients were administered with antiviral drugs to prevent HBV reinfection, including 40 cases receiving lamivudine and HBIg(Group A, n = 40).40 cases receiving adefovir and HBIg(Group B, n = 40).Results:80 cases patiens were followed up for 2-24 months.4 of 40 (10%) cases developed HBV reinfection in Group A.None of the cases developed HBV reinfection in Group B.Conclusion:With HBIg,adefovir is better than lamivudine in prevention of HBV recurrence on patients with HBV-related end-stage liver disease after orthotopic liver transplantation for the near term.
