Object To explore the protective effect of combined ischemic preconditioning and ischemic postconditioning in hepatic ischemia/reperfusion injury.Method Forty Male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into 5 groups, eight rats in every group: sham-operation group(S), ischemia/reperfusion group(I/R), ischemic preconditioning group(IPre), ischemic postconditioning group(IPost), combined ischemic preconditioning and ischemic postconditioning goup(IPre+IPost). After 120-min reperfusion, the serum levels of ALT and plasma MDA ,ATP concentrations were detected , the plasma RCR was detected, the liver histological examination was performed.Result The serum levels of ALT and plasma MDA concentrations were marked lower in the group of IPre+IPost than other groups(P<0.05);the plasma ATP concentration and RCR were marked higher in the group of IPre+IPost than other groups(P<0.05);the histological examination showed the hepatic injury in the group of IPre+IPost was less than other groups. Conclusion Our findings suggest that IPre and IPost synergistically reduce the level of mitochondrial damage and maintain the stabilization of energy metabolism as a result of better protective effect in hepatic ischemia/reperfusion injury at early stage.
