Purpose: This paper studied the efficacy of clinical treatment of Natamycin eye drops for fungal keratitis and explored the treatment means of fungal keratitis. Methods: 60 cases (60 eyes), the patients aged 23 to 69, diagnosed with fungal keratitis are randomly divided into two groups: 30 cases (30 eyes) for a treatment group, and another 30 cases (30 eyes) for a control group. Fluconazole and iodine tincture inustion are used for both groups, and the treatment group applies Natamycin eye drops besides that. After being cured for two months, compare the course of treatment and curative effect on two groups. The comparative analysis on the changes of fungal hypha numbers will be made by means of Germanic Heidelberg Confocal Laser Microscope. Make a statistical analysis on the data, for which SPSS software is used. The difference of P< 0.05 has statistical significance. Results: (1) Course of treatment: 21 cases in treatment group are cured, and the course is in a range of 29 to 55d. The average course is 44.02±7.59d. 12 cases in control group are cured, the course is between 43 and 60d, and the average course is 51.95±8.35d. The comparative differences between two groups have statistical significance (P< 0.05), and the course of the treatment group is better than the control group. (2) Curative effect: As for the treatment group, there are 8 mild cases and all of them are cured; 15 moderate cases among which 11 cases are cured, 2 cases are significantly effective and 2 cases are effectual; 7 severe cases among which 2 cases are cured, 2 cases are significantly effective, 2 cases are effectual and 1 eye is unfruitful. As for the control group, there are 8 mild cases and all of them are cured; 14 moderate cases among which 4 cases are cured, 4 cases are significantly effective, 4 cases are effectual and 2 cases are unfruitful; 8 severe cases among which 3 cases are effectual and 5 cases are unfruitful. A difference in effective rate (P< 0.05) between two groups has statistical significance, and the treatment group is much better than the control group. Conclusion: It is an effective method that to combine the Natamycin eye drops with fluconazole and iodine tincture inustion, which is conducive to shortening the course of treatment and improving the effective rate of treatment. This method is a perfect therapy for curing fungal keratitis.
