Clinical Observation On The Effects Of Vulvar Lichen Sclerosus With External Medical Herbs

Objective: Here we observe the effect of treatment for vulvar lichen sclerosus by Chinese Herbal Lotion and consumer white cream and compare the clinical symptoms and improvement of genital skin before and after therapy in treatment group with that in control group, in order to study the clinical effect of Chinese Herbal Lotion and consumer white cream.Methods: 60 vulvar lichen sclerosus patients were randomly divided into two groups, including Chinese Herbal Lotion and consumer white cream group (treatment group)with 30 cases and testosterone propionate ointment group (control group) with 30 cases. The two group patients'age and course were almost identical and there was no significant difference statistically, so the two groups were comparable (P> 0.05). we observe the patients'clinical symptoms and change of signs before and after 3 month treatment ,and then we record scores for statistical analysis.Results: ( 1) Clinical observation shows that case group has a good effect in lessening the symptom of itch. meanwhile it helps to restore the suffering skin and their healthy color;( 2)Genital itching, pigmentation,pain have improved after treatment, and there was significantly difference compared with before( P< 0.05);( 3)The total clinical effective rate is 93% in treatment group, and 83% in control group. By comparation,a statistical meaning can be educed from the two groups, which shows that the curative effect of the case group is better than the control group.Conclusion: The clinical effect of Chinese Herbal Lotion and consumer white cream is better than testosterone propionate ointment therapy. Chinese Herbal Lotion and consumer white cream therapy can improve the clinical symptoms obviously,which is a usual method of treating disease.
