Objective:To compare the imaging value of percutaneous targeted Argon-Helium cryoablation therapy with percutaneous targeted Argon-Helium cryoablation therapy combined with 125I implantation in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods:42 patients with non-small cell lung cancer were collected which treated with computed tomography (CT)-guided percutaneous targeted Argon-Helium cryoablation therapy or percutaneous targeted Argon-Helium cryoablation therapy combined with 125I implantation in our hospital. According to imaging information such as the tumor place and size and guided by CT scan, the Argon-Heliumprobe was tageted stab into the tumor body of lung cancer which unresectable for synchronization Cryoablation or Cryoablation with 125I implantation. All patients were divided into A group (Argon-Helium cryoablation therapy,22 cases) and B group (Argon-Helium cryoablation therapy+125I implantation,20 cases) according to the treatment protocols, and the tumor changes were followed up use CT scan, The tumor size and density were analyzed before treatment and after treatment in 1 week, 1,3,6, and 12 months respectively. The numeration data were analyzed by chi-square test, and the measurement data were analyzed by ANOVA use SPSS13.0 software. There was a statistical significance when P<0.05.Results:The average ice-ball coverage rate of all cases in A and B group were more than 80%, The ice-ball coverage rate in 81% cases were more than 80%. There was no significant difference between the two groups. The lesion were divided into two groups in size:3-5 cm and more than 5cm. The effective power were more than 90% in the group of the tumor diameter less than or equal to 5cm which with good short-term effect. The effective power was 70% in the group of the tumor diameter more than 5cm. There was a significant difference between the tumor diameter and the therapeutic effect (P<0.00). The immediate effect of targeted Argon-Helium cryoablation therapy in patients with lung cancer mainly depended on the tumor size, which means the bigger of the tumor, the more of the residual tumor. The CT values descended more than 30 HU in 66% cases after 0.5-1 year follow-up in patients who were accepted targeted Argon-Helium cryoablation therapy. According to the evaluation criteria in solid tumors, The followed up CT scanning showed the volume of all the tumors was enlarged after treatment in 1 week. The fectiveness(RR=CR+PR) was 63.6% and 65%,72.7%and75%,54.6% and 85%,59.1% and 80%。Conclusion:Percutaneous targeted Argon-Helium cryoablation therapy is an effective methods in treating the patients with lung cancer whom missing the operation opportunity. Argon-Helium cryoablation therapy combined with radiation particles can effectively treat residual tumor, and raise the effective power. It's accuracy, easy, safe and dependable to use CT scan in positioning the tumor location and following up the changes after treatment. It play an important role in the intervening therapy and prognosis assessment.
