In present research results of stress, Most of the studies focused on the negative reaction of the stress, the relationship between stress and poor health consequences, and stress coping style, etc."How to reduce stress"usually becomes the most concerned, meanwhile in the researchers'eyes the stress is almost synonymous with the negative impact.In fact, as the founder of stress study, Selye considered that there were Negative and Positive Stresses when he first proposed the concept of stress, and named negative stress as"Distress", Positive stress as"Eustress". Later scholars have paid more attention to the study of distress, but little attention to eustress. With the positive psychology and positive organizational behavior movement development, researchers in various fields have added positive factors in their studies. In view of this, the eustress got its deserved attention.This research by document analysis, questionnaires and other study methods. Through the investigation on more than 600 medical and nursing staffs in four cities in Henan Province, eustress questionnaire for medical and nursing staffs, job burnout, and general self-efficacy questionnaires as measuring tools, together with multiple statistical analysis technique such as exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation model, the conclusions were drawn as following:Firstly, Eustress for medical and nursing staffs is comprised of four dimensions, positive emotion, meaningfulness, management ability and hopefulness. The reliability and validity of eustress questionnaire all meet psychometric requirements.Secondly, in this research it found that positive emotion had obvious negative effect on emotional exhaustion dimension of job burnout; meaningfulness had different negative impact on deindividuation and degrading sense of personal achievement dimensions; management ability had different negative impact on emotional exhaustion and deindividuation; hopefulness had obvious negative effect on degrading sense of personal achievement dimension.Thirdly, in the research of adjusting effect on the result of influence at general self-efficacy to eustress, the former one plays a role of adjustment among mood of positive, significant, hopeful and job burnout; When taking eustress as independent variable, the adjusting effect of self-efficacy still exist.Fourthly, great difference exists among medical staff with different ages, sexes, types of medical care, levels of education and work experiences at different dimensions of eustress content.At the end of the essay, an explanation has been made on the shortcomings of the thesis and questions to be further investigated.
