IntroductionVascular endothelial growth factor receptor-3 is specific for VEGF-C,D receptor. VEGFR-3 is mainly in the cell membrane of lymphatic endothelium cell of the mature organ, involved in the regulation of tumor lymphangiogenesis. VEGFR-3 is specific landmarks of the lymphatic endothelium in the malignant tumor. CD105(Endoglin) is one of the ingredients of the receptors compound of the transformation growth factor beta (TGF-β), priority to express on the vascular endothelium of the tumor tissues. CD105 is highly sensitive to the endothelium cells in angiogenesis. The experiment measured in lymphatic vessel density and the microvessels density of stomach cancer and large intestine cancer through the expression of VEGFR -3 and CD105, and analyse routeofmetastasis between stomach cancer and large intestine cancer.MethodsSpecimen of 50 cases stomach cancer and 50 cases large intestine cancer were selected. The expression of VEGFR-3 and CD105 of endothelial cells were detected by immunocytochemical method. The experiment results were tested by calculating the number of tubules in microscopic obversation and measured the value of the lymphatic vessel density and the microvessels density of tissue slices of stomach cancer and large intestine cancer reference to Weidner. Finally the data was analyzed by statistics.ResultsVEGFR-3 expressd on the lymphatic endothelial cells, LMVD value were respectively 15.58±5.18 and 12.71±3.41 in the stomach cancer group and the large intestine cancer group. There are significant differences between the two groups (t=3.27, p< 0.01); CD105 expressed specifically on the endothelium cell of neovascularization,MVD value were respectively 27.24±8.35 and 31.07±9.54 in the stomach cancer group and the large intestine cancer group. There are significant differences between the two groups (t=2.14, p<0.05).DiscussionVEGFR-3 is considered the receptor of the lymphatic growth factor.VEGF/VEGFR-3 signal transduction pathways induce tumor lymphangiogenesis. Lymphangiogenesis increased the opportunity to the lymphatic metastasis. The experiment measured in lymphatic vessel density of stomach cancer and large intestine cancer through the expression of VEGFR -3.Results had showed that LMVD value of stomach cancer group than large intestine cancer group. It indicated that gastric carcinoma more inclined to lymphatic metastasis than the large intestine carcinoma. That provided a reference to the prognosis and blocked treatmen for the gastrointestinal carcinoma.CD105 is considered a specific mark of the new blood vessels and had a high degree of sensitivity. Angiogenesis of the malignant tumors that the amount through measuring and evaluating its MVD value be considered is an important and independent prognostic indicator. The experiment measured in microvessel density of stomach cancer and large intestine cancer through the expression of CD105. Results had showed that MVD value of large intestine cancer group than stomach cancer group and indicated that large intestine carcinoma is easier to promote tumor invasion and development of metastases through tumor angiogenesis. Vessel target treatment can be done via inhibition of angiogenesis and further suppressing tumor growth.Conclusions1. Gastric carcinoma more inclined to lymphatic metastasis than the large intestine carcinoma2. Large intestine carcinoma more inclined to hematogeneous metastasis than the gastric carcinoma...
