Objective: To compare clinical results with endovascular stent-graft repair for the treatment of patients with acute and chronic aortic dissections. Methods:From Jun 2002 to December 2009,15patients with acute type B aortic dissection,57patients with chronic aortic dissection underwent stent-graft implantation。The clinical data of the patients were analyzed. Results:Compare with chronic aortic dissection group, acute aortic dissection group had higher percentage of thoracic cavity effusion (20% VS 1.75%, P=0.006) and visceral/leg ischemia (20% VS 0%, P=0.001). Acute aortic dissection group had higher complications in early term (33.3%VS8.77%, P=0.014). All patients were followed up from 1~90months. Overall complications were higher in patients with acuteaortic dissection than in patients with chronic dissection (18.2%VS5.88% P=0.222,). Mortality had higher tendency in patients with acute aortic dissection (18.2%VS5.88%, P=0.066). Conclusion: Endovascular repair was effective in treatment of type B aortic dissection. Major complications occurred depending upon the acuity of presentation。...
