Objective:To investigate the predictive values of VEGF for coronary heart disease and the relationship between VEGF and CHD.Methods:All subjects(142 patients) were enrolled from inpatients who underwent coronary angiography. VEGF were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).And the relationship of the different VEGF levels in the serum of different kinds of patients of CHD.Results:1.The serum VEGF levels of UAP patients were higher than that of SAP patients, P<0.01;There is not significant difference between the serum VEGF levels of SAP patients and that of OMI patients; The serum VEGF levels in all the three groups patients were higher than that in normal controls. And the serum VEGF levels of AMI patients in the first day are not higher than that of SAP patients, but much higher in the next two days.2. The serum VEGF levels of SAP with hypertension, diabetes patients were higher than that of SAP with hypertension.patients, P< 0.01; The serum VEGF levels of SAP with hypertension patients were higher than that of SAP patients, P<0.01;3.The serum VEGF levels of SAP with longer case history patients were higher than that of SAP with shorter case history patients.Conclusion:1.The results suggest that the serum VEGF level might reflect the different levels of myocardial ischemia among the CHD patients.2.Hypertension,diabetes can affect the serum VEGF levels of SAP patients.3.The higher serum VEGF level might reflect the longer case history of myocardial ischemia.4.The patitents with different distant of coronary heart disease have different levels of VEGF in the serum.
