Objective To explore the bone-forming ability of rhBMP-2/20%β- TCP/PDLLA complex for lumbar in posterolataral process fusion in animal modelMethods Three-dimesion porous of 20 %β-TCP/PDLLA, PDLLA were repaired by particulate - leaching method and were plused with rhBMP- 2. to made rhBMP-2/20%β-TCP/PDLLA complex. Twenty-four 4-month-old healthy male New Zealand white rabbits were equally randomized into 2 groups(group A and group B),which producted L4, 5 intertransverse process fusion model according to the method described in Boden,, A group implanted rhBMP -2/20%β-TCP/PDLLA complex, B group implanted autogenous iliac bone block. Animals were killed according to postoperative time (6 weeks, 12 weeks), for gross observation, X-ray observation of new bone formation, the biocompatibility of artificial bone, and early histological Performance. Results Composite artificial bone and autologous iliac bone graft have shown excellent biocompatibility, can achieve good spinal fusion.At 12 weeks, the composite artificial bone into the bone is not only early, large amount of new bone formation, but also in new bone formation, while reshaping the carrier material gradually degraded after 12 weeks can form a more mature trabecular bone structure, formed by fusion blocks of large, high strength.However, autologous iliac bone 12 weeks after they moved to the formation of new bone structure and its comparison requires further shaping and perfectConclusions 20%β-TCP/PDLLA is a promising bone graft substi- tutes.Its structure, degradation resulting micro-environment are conducive to the role of rhBMP-2 induced bone has a strong activity and good bony fusion capabilities, and Strong in his integration of autogenous iliac bone graft.It is expected to be required for the new artificial bone graft in spinal surgery.In-depth study of long-term efficacy remains to be further improved...
