Purpose:To evaluate the tolerability of concurrent chemoradiothera- py with different dosage Cisplatin for patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC).Methods:A total of 160 patients were randomized into 8 groups,20 cases per group from Mar.2010 to Oct.2010. Radical radiotherapy with total do- se of 68~78Gy was offered to all patients, some accepted conventional radiothe- rapy, and part of patients received intensity modulated radiotherapy. Patients in group A were given cisplatin 100mg/m~2 for 1 day every four weeks for two cyc- les,in group B were given cisplatin 100mg/m~2 in 3 days every four weeks for two cycles,in group C were given cisplatin 80mg/m~2 for 1 day every four weeks for two cycles,in group D were given cisplatin 80mg/m~2 in 3 days every four w- eeks for two cycles,in group E were given cisplatin 100mg/m~2 for 1 day every three weeks for two cycles,in group F were given cisplatin 100mg/m~2 in 3 days every three weeks for two cycles,in group G were given cisplatin 80mg/m~2 for 1 day every three weeks for two cycles,in group H were given cisplatin 80mg/m~2 in 3 days every three weeks for two cycles. Records and evaluation and actively deal with the toxicities and side effects. All patients were underwent nasophary- nx and neck CT or MRI to evaluating the shortterm effect at the end of radiation. Results:The clinical data were analogous among every group. All pati- ents could accomplish radiotherapy on schedule.5 patients did not recieve secon- d cycle chemotherapy (3 in group A,1 in group D,1 in group G). univariate ana- lysis showed that age, sex, stage and radiotherapy techniques were not the influ- encing factors in the tolerance. There were no significant differences on the toxi- cities and side effects and primary outcomes among erevy group. After active tr- eatments, all complications could recover .Conculsion:The acute toxic reactions and therapeutic compliance and Short-term curative effect of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma treated by concurrent chemoradiotherapy with Cisplatin 100mg/m~2 and 80mg/m~2 and diffe- rnt segmentation and time interval were no significant differences.
