Objective:To clarify the endoscopic surgical anatomy of the nose and eye by measuring the cadaver heads and simulating the surgical access to provide further anatomical evidence and reference for the clinicians. Methods:We chose 60 adult cadaveric heads fixed by 10%formalin and did delicate research and measurement on the anatomy of the region around the nose and eye. Multiangular photos were taken using professional equipment.Results:1)The interior wall of the optic canal is the longest and the thinnest among the four walls (male0.56±0.16mm, female0.48±0.31mm); 2) the ophthalmic artery walks inside the inferior wall of the dural sheath of the optic nerve and alongside the optic canal from its interior and inferior to anterior and exterior; 3)the anatomical relationship between the optic canal and the ethmoid sinus and sphenoid sinus is very complicated, which can be divided into three types, and in particular, the relationship between the posterior ethmoid and supersphenoid ethmoidal cell directly influences the surgical manipulation;4)the length of the lacrimal is 15.47±2.13 mm in male and 15.13±2.87mm in female and the width is 7.46±0.93mm in male and 6.82±0.73mm in female; 5) The agger nasi can be divided into three classes according to its gasification range-the first class 24.17%,the second class58.33%, the third class17.5%, in order to make clear the anatomical relationship between the lacrimal fossa and the agger nasi in favorable of the location of dacryocystorhinostomy surgery;6)simulated operations of the three types of eye and nose surgery were carried upon the cadaver heads to provide anatomical reference for clinical operations. Conclusion:The endoscopic surgery of the nose and eye is very challenging because of the interdisciplinary nature of the marginal subjects and complicated surgical anatomy. The success of the surgery depends closely on the recognition of the anatomical signals, thereafter, the target training of the cadaver heads anatomy toward the clinicians before operation is very important.
