Abstract/Summary:
ObjectiveTo understand the awareness of cancer prevention knowledge, the behavior of the screenedesophageal cancer group and the risk factors of esophageal cancer, and then proposeappropriate health education suggestions and conduct more effective education to improveunderstanding rate of prevention and participate rate in check-up procedure, which is conduciveto curb and cure the esophageal cancer at early stage.MethodsBy stratified and cluster sampling,the villages with highest outbreak rate were selected,one-on-one interview was applied to investigate. The investigate includes cancer preventionknowledge and behavioral risk factors. By Ordinal-Logistic regression, we studied theinfluential factors of the awareness of cancer prevention knowledge. We studied the thewillingness of screening, the reasons of refusing the screening and the willingness to pay for thescreening of the screened esophageal cancer group and their influential factors. ByOrdinal-Logistic regression or Binary-Logistic regression, we studied behavioral risk factorsand influential factors. By Binary-Logistic regression, we studied risk factors of esophagealcancer of the screened esophageal cancer group in Yangcheng county.Results(1)Overall awareness of cancer prevention knowledge is not high. The scores of male,unmarried or divorced or widowed and the group which is with familiy history are higher thanfemale, lower income people, married, without familiy history respectively. (2)The willingnessof screening is quite low. The willingness of the people who has higher scores of cancerprevention knowledge is higher. The willingness of the people that has family history is 1.291times than who has no family history. (3)The willingness to pay for the screening is quite low,The influential factors are average family disposable income and the scores of cancerprevention knowledge. (4)The average age when the smokers started smoking is 27.70, 68.5%of the group are aged lower than 30 when they started smoking. The average age when the drinkers started drinking is 29.38, 60.00% of the group are aged lower than 30 when theystarted drinking. There are 188 persons who drink tea,the percent is 3.69%. (5)The gender,average family disposable income, family history are important influential factors of the diets.(6)The risk factors of esophageal cancer are smoking and the consumption of pickled food,fried food and hot food in Yangcheng county.Conclusi(1)Female,lower income people,families without any cancer patients should be cancerprevention knowledge promotion target. (2)Improve the screening willingness, focus on peoplewith lower cancer prevention knowledge,without family history. (3)The willingness to pay forthe screening is quite low, so"The central government transfer payments"and the local financeshould continue to ensure the capital investment. (4)Intensify propaganda of prohibitingsmoking and drinking to the people who are lower than 30 years of age. (5)Female,lowerincome people and the group which has familiy history should be health education target.(6)Aim at the risk factors of esophageal cancer of Yangcheng people, we should promotehealthy and appropriate diets.
