Object:The propose of this study is to detect the expression of PIWIL2 in different breast tissues and investigate the express relationships among PIWIL2 and P53, cerbB2, Ki-67, Syndrome of TCM. They may provide the theory basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment.Method:Selecting 90 cases of primary breast cancer,20 cases of normal tissue and 20 cases of atypical of breast tissues in The Second Xiangya Hospital from January to August in 2008, they are divided into breast cancer group, cancer tissue adjacent group, atypical group, benign breast tissue group. According to TNM grading,â… 17 cases,â…¡53 cases,â…¢22 cases, which including invasive breast cancer 79 cases, lobular carcinoma 9 cases, mucous cancer in 2 cases. Counting TNM grading, tumor size, lymph node, metastasis conditions, PR expression, ER expression, age, Menstrual conditions, type of Syndrome of TCM. Detecting the express condition of PIWIL2, P53, cerbB2, Ki-67 in breast cancer by using immunohistochemistry SP method and by statistical analysis of the data.Result:1. PIWIL2 in breast cancer and cancer tissue adjacent expression rate is respectively 70% and 39%; the expression rate is 65% in atypical of breast tissue; the expression rate in normal breast tissue is 0.05%,the expression differences of PIWIL2 in breast cancer tissue and adjacent breast tissue has statistically significant(p<0.01). The expression of PIWIL2 in breast cancer tissue and atypical breast tissue has not statistically significant (p> 0.05),the expression of PIWIL2 in breast cancer tissue and normal breast tissue has statistically significant(p< 0.05). The difference of PIWIL2 in normal breast and atypical hyperplasia of mammary gland organization has obvious statistically significant (p<0.01).2. The expression of PIWIL2 and P53, Ki-67 in breast cancer tissue have relevance (p< 0.01).3.The expression of PIW1L2 in breast cancer tissue and patients's TNM grading, tumor size, PR expression, ER expression, CerbB2 expression, lymph node metastasis conditions, age, menstrual conditions, type of Syndrome of TCM have statistically significant(p>0.05).Conclusion:1. The expression of PIWIL2 in breast tissue and atypical hyperplasia is significantly higher than normal breast tissue, but it has nothing to do with tumor TNM classification, thus PIWIL2 could be used as assistant diagnosis for breast cancer and atypical lesions.2. The expression of PIWIL2 and P53, Ki-67 in breast cancer have relevance.3. The expression of PIWIL2 has nothing to do with syndrome of TCM about breast cancer in this study.
