The Study On The Character Of The Color Of Tongue Texture And Tongue Coating In Patients With Chronic Gastritis Hp~+ Under The RGB And Lab Model

Objective:To observe the relationship of classification of chronic gastritis (atrophic gastritis and non-atrophic gastritis) and the colour of tongue texture as well as tongue coating; To observe the relationship of Helicobacter pylori (HP) infection and the colour of tongue texture as well as tongue coating.Methods:Tongue images of ninety-five cases of chronic gastritis diagnosed by gastroscopy (Olympus GIF-H260,GIF-XQ260) were taken by digital camera (OlympusμTough-6020) and analyzed by image processing software Adobe Photoshop. Three spots were selected as representatives of colour of tongue texture and tongue coating. The average values of R,G,B,R+G+B,R/R+G+B,G/R+G+B,B/R+G+B,L,a,b of these representative spots were measured. Mean values of different pathological classification (atrophic gastritis and non-atrophic gastritis) and mean values of different condition of HP infection(Hp+ and Hp-) were compared by SPSS V13.0.Results:In the RGB model, the color of the tongue texture shows that mean value of R+G+B in non-atrophic gastritis group was higher than that of atrophic gastritis group (P<0.05); mean value of R/(R+G+B) in non-atrophic gastritis group was lower than atrophic gastritis group (P<0.05);mean value of G/(R+G+B) in non-atrophic gastritis group was higher than atrophic gastritis group (P<0.05). Mean value of R/(R+G+B) in Hp+group was higher than Hp-group (P<0.05); Mean value of G/(R+G+B) in Hp+group was lower than Hp- group (P<0.05).In the Lab model, the color of the tongue texture shows that mean value of "L" in non-atrophic gastritis group was higher than that of atrophic gastritis group (P<0.05); mean value of "a" in non-atrophic gastritis group was lower than that of atrophic gastritis group (P<0.05);mean value of "b" in Hp+ group was higher than that of Hp-group(P<0.05). In the RGB model, the color of the tongue coating shows that mean value of B/(R+G+B) in Hp+ group was lower than Hp- group (P<0.05). In the Lab model, the color of the tongue coating shows that mean value of "L" in non-atrophic gastritis group was higher than that of atrophic gastritis group (P<0.05) mean value of "b" in Hp+group was higher than Hp- group (P<0.05)Conclusion:The colour of tongue texture and tongue coating of chronic atrophic gastritis cases accord with its pathogenesis of TCM-qi deficiency and blood stasis and disease seriously. The colour of tongue texture and tongue coating of Hp+ cases accord with the TCM pathogenesis of HP infection-dampness-heat of spleen and stomach.
