Modified Decoction By Shentong Zhuyu Tang On The Numbness After Surgery In Patients With Lumbar Disc Herniation

Objective:Through the clinical observation and treatment that modified decoction by Shentong Zhuyu Tang on the numbness after surgery in patients with lumbar disc herniation, combined with the formation mechanism of numbness after surgery with lumbar disc herniation, to explore the efficacy and mechanism about modified decoction by Shentong Zhuyu Tang on lower limb numbness after surgery. Clinical application of Traditional Chinese Medicine Prescription, and improve the quality of life and the therapeutic effect of lumbar disc herniation.Methods:By include and exclusion criteria that included54 cases of numbness after surgery with lumbar disc herniation were randomly divided into Shentong Zhuyu Tang treatment group (27 cases) and general treatment control group (27 cases), recorded the cases of patients with lower limb sensation(10g single nylon filament check,40g needle felt pressure check. Visual Analogue Scale) by quantitative sensory testing (quantitative sensory testing, QST) before treatment and after treatment respectively. To statistical comparison, and objectively assess the therapeutic effect of Shentong Zhuyu Tang on the patients after surgery with lumbar disc herniation.Results:54 patients with postoperative numbness, seen from a comparison of nylon rope experiment,2 weeks,4 weeks,2 months time period of three treatment groups rates were:70.4%,85.9%,92.6%; effective in the control group were:44.4%,51.9%,74.1%. Seen from the experimental comparison of acupuncture,2 weeks,4 weeks,2 months time period of three treatment groups in the rates were:66.7%,85.2%,88.9%; effective in the control group were: 40.7%,44.4%,63.0%. Sense of self assessment from the comparison of VAS,2 weeks,4 weeks,2 months time period of three treatment groups in the rates were:44.4%,74.1%,88.9%; effective in the control group were:25.9%,40.7%,63.0%. Overall, the efficacy of the treatment group compared with the control group were significantly different, the efficacy of the treatment group is better than the control group.Conclusion:The therapeutic effect of modified decoction by Shentong Zhuyu Tang on the numbness after surgery in patients with lumbar disc herniation is good. It can alleviate the patient numb symptom effectively, and recovery the nerve sensory function of light and deep. It applied to the blood stasis syndrome after surgery for the patients.
