【Abstract】Objective To detect the expression of G3BP and Stathmin in Sinonasal inverted papilloma(NIP)and to explore their role in the development of NIP as well as their interrelationships. Method Immunohistochemical (PV-9000 two-step method) method was used to analyze the protein expression of G3BP and Stathmin in paraffin embedded tissues from 34 cases Sinonasal inverted papilloma , At the same time detect the expression of two proteins of 20 cases Nasal septum mucosal and 12 cases of nasal tissue samples of squamous cell carcinoma tissue specimens as controls. Then use SPSS13.0 which is statistical analysis software to analyze , observe the express of the two indicators in different tissues and analysis whether they have the correlation in the NIP. Results According to statistical standards used in this experiment , The expression rate of Stathmin protein and G3BP protein in sinonasal inverted papilloma positive was 52.9%,73.5%, both were higher than those in Nasal septum mucosal 0%,0%, the difference was significant (P <0.05). The expression rate of Stathmin protein and G3BP protein in Nasal squamous cell carcinoma specimens was 75%,83.3%, both were higher than those in Sinonasal inverted papilloma ,The expression of stathmin have significant differences in the two tissues (P <0.05),The expression of G3BP the have no significant differences among the two tissues (P> 0.05),Stathmin was positively related to expression of G3BP(rs >0,P<0.001). Conclusion Stathmin protein and G3BP protein was higher expressed in the Sinonasal inverted papilloma The result tips that they may have close contact with the recurrence and attacktion of Sinonasal inverted papilloma. Stathmin was positively related to expression of G3BP ,Joint detection of Stathmin and G3BP may have positive significance in diagnosis and prognosis of cancer.
