Objective: To study the specific position and the distribution of the novel gene HA117 in the colorectal adenocarcinoma; To realize the relationship between gene HA117 and colorectal adenocarcinoma clinicopathologic features; to discuss the drug resistance mechanism of colorectal adenocarcinoma, in order to select the best chemotherapy strategy, and enhance the effect of chemotherapy.Methods: Gene HA117 was detected in the 20 cases of colorectal adenocarcinoma and the 10 cases of normal colon with Streptavidin-Peroxidase immunohistochemistry (IC) staining method; then analyze the relationship between gene HA117 and colorectal adenocarcinoma clinicopathologic features:such as age of onset;clinical stages;lymph node metastasis;the grade of differentiation and histologic type;Results: (1) The positive expression rate of gene HA117 in colorectal adenocarcinoma and normal colon are 75% and 10%, the result have statistical significance (p=0.001);(2) Gene HA117 positive expression rate in the older age of onset in colorectal adenocarcinoma is a little higher than the younger, but this result have no significant difference(p >0.05);(3) Gene HA117 positive expression rate in III-IV stage is a little higher than I-II stage; but the result have no statistical significance (p >0.05);(4) The rate is a little higher in the lymph node metastasis group compared with no lymph node metastasis group; but the result have no statistical significance (p >0.05);(5)The rate is a little higher in the poor differentiated group compared with well-differentiated group; but the result have no statistical significance (p >0.05);(6) Gene HA117 positive expression rate in colon carcinoma is significantly higher than both rectum carcinoma and the normal colonic structure (p=0.002).Conclusion: (1) The distribution of gene HA117 in colorectal adenocarcinoma is extensive; and it show the tolerance toward chemotherapeutics would also be affected by gene HA117. so the expression of the gene HA117 can be one of the indicators to assess multidrug ressistance of cancer cell; (2) The positive expression of the gene HA117 have no relationship with patient's age , clinical stages, lymph node metastasis, and grade of differentiation.
