Analysis Of Clinical Information In Young People With Apoplexy (a Report Of 280 Cases)

Objective To study the characteristics, causes and risk factors in young people with apoplexy. Methods From 280 patients with diagnosis of stroke, whose ages were 18—45, and lived in neurology ward from 2009.2 to 2011.2, the clinical datas were retrospectively analized. Results Of 280 cases, males were 190 cases(67.9%), females were 90 cases(32.1%).193 cases were ischemic stroke(68.9%) and 87 cases were hemorrhagic stroke (31.1%). The places of ischemic stroke,70 were in basal ganglia (36.3%),26 in brain stem (13.5%),17 in cerebella (8.8%),12 in large area of one side (6.2%),6 in thalamus (3.1%),62 in multiple places (32.1%)。The places of hemorrhagic stroke,55 were in basal ganglia (63.3%),13 in lobes (14.9%),4 in thalamus (4.6%),4 in brain stem (4.6%),2 in callosum (2.3%),1 is subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH,1.1%), and 8 cases were in more than one place (9.2%)。Of all ischemic stroke cases,27.5% were aged 18-35, the top 3 risk factors in these people were abnormal levels of lipid(47.2%), hobbys of smoking or drinking(26.4%), and high levels of Hcy(22.6%); 72.5% were aged 36-45, the top 3 risk factors in these people were abnormal levels of lipid(56.4%), hobbys of smoking or drinking(51.4%), and hypertension(40.7%). Of all hemorrhagic stroke cases,26.4% were aged 18-35, the top 3 risk factors in them were abnormal levels of lipid(39.1%), hypertension(30.4%),and hobbys of smoking or drinking(30.4%); 73.6% were aged 36-45, the top 3 risk factors in them were hypertension(65.6%), abnormal levels of lipid(48.3%), and hobbys of smoking or drinking(28.1%). Besides, heart diseases, deformities of brain vascellum, abnormalities of blood system, etc. were the risk factors of stroke in young too. Conclusion the basal ganglia is the predilection site of stroke in young. The cause and risk fators of stroke in young are more complicated in contrast to the old, but the traditional factors of stroke are still the main factors in the young people. Intervention at the early time is the important things to do to avoid stroke to happen and recurrence.
