Objectives:Analysis the related factors of the surgical therapeutic efficacy of the vascular malformation of oral and maxillofacial region in infancy and childhood, in oder to improve the recognition of the efficacy of the approach and improve the cure rate. Methods:A retrospective analysis of the clinical data and following-up outcome was performed on patients treated with surgical operation of vascular malformation in infancy and childhood at the oral and maxillofacial surgery department of The Xinjiang Autonomous Regional Hospital and Xinjiang Medical University First Affiliated Hospital from March 2007 to July 2009. The study population included 117 Patients. Analysis the factors which possibly affect patients prognosis:age, gender, nation, course of disease, tumor size, completeness of peplos, type of malformation. The clinical data and following-up outcomes of these patients of vascular malformation were recorded and univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were applied to this study. Results:The tumor cure rate was 67.5%(79/117). Logistic regression analysis showed that the prognosis of the vascular malformation of oral and maxillofacial region in infancy and childhood was related to the tumor size and completeness of peplos. All these factors showed significant difference (P<0.05). The size of tumorβ>0, Exp(β)>l,demonstrated that factor may decrease the recovery rate of operation. The completeness of peplosβ<0,0
