Objective:To analyse the effects of serum estradiol levels(E2),progesterone levels(P),the ratio of P/E2 on the day of hCG administration on the outcomes of in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (â…£F-ET).Methods: The clinical data of 197 patients undergoingâ…£F-ET with GnRH analogues down-regulation were retrospectively analysed. In pregnancy and no-pregnancy group, the serum estradiol levels(E2),progesterone levels(P),the ratio of P/E2 were analysed on the day of hCG administration in different number of oocytes collection group. The area under the curve(AUC) of P/E2 level was calculated to predicting clinical pregnancy rate in whole samples. Results:There were no difference on average age, infertility years, ampules of Gn and number of embryo transferred in pregnancy and no pregnancy groups in different number of oocytes collection group. In different number of oocytes collectiongroup, the levels of E2,P,P/E2 on the day of hCG administration were not statistically significant in pregnancy and no pregnancy groups. Conclusion: The serum E2 levels,P levels, the ratio of P/E2 on the day of hCG administration do not affect the clinical pregnancy outcome in IVF-ET. There were no evidence on predicting clinical pregnancy outcome with the ratio of P/E2 on the day of hCG administration.
