The Clinical Observation Of The Effect Of Xue Fu Zhu Yu Jiao Nang On Treating Luteinized Unruptured Follicle Syndrome

Backgroundluteinized unruptured follicle syndrome (LUFS) is a special kind of anovular menstruation, it often leads to infertility, the follicle cannot ovulate because of the central or local dysfunction, but follicle granular cells which were stimulated by luteinizing hormone can occur luteinizition and secrete progestogen hormone, therefore appears some clinical manisfestations resembling normal ovulation, such as menstrual cycle, two-way basal body temperature, and secretory endometrium etc, it accounts for a large proportion in infertility patients, and the incidence is increasing year by year with the life and work pressure going up of female, the effect of medicine on treating the disease is far from satisfactory, therefore it is important to seek an effective approach on treating LUFSObjectiveTo study the effect of xue fu zhu yu jiao nang on treating luteinized unruptured follicle syndrome, and in order to provide a theoretical basis of activating blood and dissolving-blood for treating LUFS.MethodsSixty outpatients who were diagnosed LUFS and came from Gynecology Department of Guangzhou hospital of Chinese medicine between March in 2009 and June in 2010 were included in the present study. All the patients were randomized divided into the trial group (30 patients) and control group (30 patients). All the patients were given tonifing-kidney and regulating liver TCM decoction since the fifth day of menstrual cycles, Xue fu zhu yu jiao nang were added to the trial group when the average diameter of follicle reaches 16mm and the result of urinary luteinizing hormone (LH) test displays positive, pre-treatment continued for the control group. B-mode ultrasound was used to monitor the ovulation.We collected data including ovarian artery resistance index (RI), pulsatility index(PI) and blood LH level before and after treatment, ovulation rate and pregnancy rate were computed at the end of the study. Spss 16.0 was used to do statistical analysis, all analysis use bilateral test, P<0.05 was statistical significance.ResultsThe LH of the trial group after treatment significantly increased, but the RI and PI decreased compared with that before the treatment; the LH, RI and PI of the two groups has no significant difference before the treatment, the RI,PI were lower of the trial group, but the LH,the ovulation rate and pregnancy rate were higher after treatment comparing with the control group, the differences were significant.ConclusionThis study shows that Xue fu zhu yu jiao nang can promote the secretion of LH, significantly increase the luteinizing hormone level, induce LH peak occurred, in addition to, xue fu zhu yu jiao nang can lower the ovarian artery resistance index and pulsatility index, improve microcirculation, dredge the channels, make ovarian arteries dilating and vascular resistance decreasing, so that can increase diastolic blood flow velocity, blood flow of the ovarian artery and capillary permeability, make follicle rupturing and ovulating, raise the ovulation rate and pregnancy rate. It also provides a new idea for treating LUFS using Chinese medicine.
