| Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Kuxinyunzhong method in treating newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients of Damp-heat accumulate.Methods:Seventy T2DM patients were randomly assigned to receive treatment with kuxinyunzhong formula(treatment group) and to receive Metformin Hydrochioride Tablets(control group).Basic therapy were operated among all patients.At 8 weeks after treatment,we observed the indexes included curative effect indexes (such as clinical symptoms,weight,FBG,2hPG,HbAlC,TC,TG) and safety indexes (such as routine urine, blood, feces test,the function of liver and kidney before and after the treatment),and harmful reaction during the treatment.Results:1. The total effective rate is 93.3% in treatment group and 87.1% in control group(P>0.05).2.The clinical symptoms of patients in the two groups after treatment were significantly improved(P<0.05,P<0.01).The curative effect in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.01).3.After the treatment,there were obvious improvements in BMI,FPG.2hPG,HbAlc and TG(P<0.05,P<0.01).There was no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05).4.The adverse reactions and clinical laboratory test abnormalities showed no significance between the two groups.Conclusion:The Kuxinyunzhong method is an effective and safe for treating newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus patients of Damp-heat accumulate,which this provides a new treatment ideas in TCM therapy. |
