Objective:To study the compatibility of Polygala and Magnolia on gastrointestinal digestive juice secretion, activity, Gastrointestinal Hormone.Reserach Polygala and Magnolia Combination on gastrointestinal function and its mechanism.Methods:①Collection of gastric juice by pyloric ligation, investigation Polygala compatibility with Magnolia, and the two groups on rat gastric secretion 1:1,1:2,1:3 volume and acidity of gastric acid.②By spectrophotometry, study medication groups on gastric protease, trypsin。③Bile collected by intubation, investigation of the treatment group effect on bile secretion in rats。④By enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, treatment group was measured levels of serum GAS⑤by immunohistochemistry, study of the treatment group of gastric mucosa SS.Results:①Single herb Polygala could significantly reduce the gastric secretion, decreased gastric acidity (P<0.05); Polygala compatibility with Magnolia 1:1,1:3 group can significantly reduce the amount of gastric secretion (P<0.05), and 1:1 compatibility group can significantly reduce gastric acidity (P<0.05); The gastric secretion, gastric acidity of Magnolia and 1:2 compatibility group was significantly higher than that of Polygala group (P<0.05).②Single herb Polygala could significantly inhibit the activity of pepsin, trypsin activity but not significant; Single herb Magnolia officinalis, Magnolia Polygalaceae and compatibility 1:1,1:2 group also significantly inhibited the pepsin activity (P<0.05); Trypsin activity of compatibility 1:2,1:3 group is increased in trend, but no significant difference (P> 0.05).③After administration of each drug group,30min,60min,90min, the volume is increasing bile secretion. When administered 90min, bile secretion of compatibility 1:3 group increase significantly (P<0.05); Bile secretion of single herb Magnolia group, Polygalaceae and Magnolia the compatibility group is higher than the trend of Polygala group, but no statistical significance (P> 0.05).④Serum Gastrin (GAS) of single herb Polygala group and 1:3 group compatibility were significantly reduced (P <0.05); Serum Gastrin (GAS) of Compatibility 1:1,1:2 group was significantly higher than Polygala group (P<0.05).⑤Compared with the control group, gastric mucosal layer of Polygala group of somatostatin (SS) immunoreactive product was no significant difference in expression (P> 0.05). Magnolia group, Polygalaceae and Magnolia Combination 1:1,1:2,1:3 group can significantly reduce the expression of SS immunoreactive product (P<0.01); Magnolia group of SS immunoreactive product expression was significantly lower than Polygala group (P<0.01).Conclusion:①Single herb Polygala can reduce gastric secretion, decrease gastric acidity, inhibit pepsin, inhibited serum gastrin inhibit digestive function; Polygalaceae and Magnolia compatibility, especially when it twice Polygala (Polygalaceae and Magnolia is 1:2) can ease the Polygala different degrees of inhibition of digestive functions. Prompted the clinical use of Polygala, should be compatible with 2 times the amount of Magnolia, to protect the digestive function.②Polygala Magnolia ease gastrointestinal side effects of the mechanism of inhibition . may increase the compatibility between the two gastric secretion, regulate gastric acidity, and promote secretion of bile and GAS, and inhibition of SS secretion.
