| Objective We use the content analysis of dream method to analysis the neurosis inpatients and to investigate the dream content characteristics of neurosis inpatients and otherness of dream cotent in different periods.Method The continuous dreams reported by the neurosis inpatients which met the CCMD-3 diagnostic criteria of neurosis were collected in different periods, namely impressed, prior to admission, in the first 2 weeks, 2-4 weeks in hospital and before discharged, then the dream contents were analysis and coded multidimensionally by Hall and Van de Castle's system of content analysis, and then put the result into the DreamSAT. According to the results of inpatient neurosis patients dream content, different periods of dreams were collected and analysis.Results There were totally 196 dreams from 30 inpatients, (110 of male's ,86 of female's). Compared with the Calvin's norm, the neurosis inpatients dreamed more familiarity, family, good fortune, but less friendliness and sex. Male inpatients exhibit more aggression, familiar setting, sex than women. Male inpatients dreamed more aggression to the same-sex, but have less friendliness to the opposite sex.Compared the patient's dreams content of namely impressed to norm, had more familiarity, family ,bodily aggression, less success, aggression, friendness. Compared the patient's dreams content of later to first period treatment of neurosis, had less self-negativity, negative emotions, misfortune and more sex, fortune, success. Compared the patient's dreams cotent of before discharged to prior to admission, had less self-negativity, negative emotions, sex, misfortune, more success and fortune. Conclusion Compared with the Calvin's norm, neurosis inpatient's dream content has its characteristics and shows differences between male and female. The dream cotent changed in different periods of neurosis inpatients. |
