| Objictive:Mulberry leaf is used as an antitussive, antiasthmatic, fever and rheumatism agent in traditionl medicines. Present research found that alkaloids and flavonoids in mulberry leaf are the main antidiabetics active constituent. In order to elucidate the chemical constituents existing in the total flavone extraction that have antidiabetics. we have studied the constituents in the total flavone extraction. Methods:The Chemical constituents of total flavone extraction were investigated by various kinds of chromatographic methods, such as silica gel column, polyamide column, gel column, inverse-phase column and Pre-HPLC. The compound structure were elucidated on the basis of physical-chemical properties and spectral evidences. Results:Fifteen compounds, which include nine flavonoids, two coumarin derivates, two benzofuran derivates, a simple organic acid and a sterides, have been isolated from total flavone extraction. Fifteen compound were elucidated as:2',7-dihydroxy-4'-methoxy-8-prenylflavan (1), (2S)-4'-hydroxy-7-methoxy-8-prenylflavan (2), Brosimine B (3), 2',4'-dihydroxy-7'-methoxy-8-prenylflavan (4), Morachalcone B (5), Isoflavonoids (6), Morachalcone A (7), astragalin (8), isoquercitrin (9), umbelliferone (10),7-hydroxy-6-methoxycoumarin (11), Moracin C (12), Moracin M (13), Dibutyl phthalate (14), Daucosterol (15).Conclusion:Among them, compound 2 was a new compound and compound 3 was firstly isolated from this genus. This topic provides scientific basis for the rational exploitation and application of mulberry leaf. |
